Then there was Thursday:
This brightly colored outfit started because I went out with co-workers after work, and I wanted to carry my teal wristlet. But I didn't want to go the route of black dress and bright accessories, so I figured out how to get the colors to mesh together. This scarf from Target last year has purple and teal (and mustard) mixed together, and tied it all together nicely.
With all that going on, a neutral pair of mushroom-colored sandals seemed like the best bet.
Friday was a last-minute slap together of clothes; I bought a awesome tunic from Tina at T Minus, T Plus, but I am a little nervous about styling it. I fussed with it in the mirror for too long during my morning routine, and at the last second chickened out and grabbed my Old Navy striped dress. Having run the clock out, I just kept the shoes I was already wearing.
Friday night I met up with Laura65 from YouLookFab, and we had hoped to stop by and see Marianna too, but we missed connections. However, Laura and I checked out a FABULOUS new bar set up on the rooftop of the renovated food court at the mall. It was just stunning; beautifully decorated and very comfortable and inviting. I will definitely be going back as much as I can before the weather turns.

Daily Food Tracker: Thursday
Breakfast: pomegranate berry yogurt, the last of the raspberries, fiber one cereal (what I affectionately call "glop")
Lunch: Panera Pick2: broccoli cheese soup, half tuna sandwich
Dinner: gin and tonic (at casino with co-workers) Whoops, we didn't plan that well.
Snack: On my way home from the casino, I texted Hubby and informed him I was stopping to get food. "Bad food," I texted. As I drove along, I considered my options for fast food...and then stopped at Oberweis Dairy, where I deliberately walked past the ice cream counter and all the frozen quarts, and picked up a glass half-gallon bottle of skim milk. I then went home and had some milk and a couple of slices of bread with my fake peanut butter. GO ME!!!
Daily Food Tracker: Friday
Breakfast: yogurt and fiber one cereal
Lunch: Portillos chopped salad with a mini muffin
Dinner: gin and tonic, and a split cheese plate with Laura. Couple of kinds of cheese, strawberries, raspberries and some pita points.
Snack: This was less of a victory; still hungry when I got home, I put a medium-sized frozen pizza with mushrooms and olives in the oven and split it it with Hubby. The pizza was really delicious, though; it will be great as a dinner option with a big salad another day.
And that was the end of my week.
Oh! The rooftop bar looks lovely and so relaxing. I wonder what they'll do with it in the colder months?
