It got this in the light gray, and it is fantastic. Nice heavy feel, it sits flats when left open, and has the cute detail of the button enclosure at the neck. It's not fitted but the weight of it makes it feel structured. Cozy and polished, which is not easy to pull off!
Okay, it's a long open cardigan. Surprise! But I love the green (the military look this season) and the rolled edges of the pockets is a nice detail. This is another one that fits loose which is what I want; at this stage in my weight I'm not looking for body-hugging, you know? It's going to be great for layering and the color will work so well with a lot of fun combinations.
Oh. My. God. This is going to be my go-to sweater of the fall. LOVE IT. Looks amazing open or closed, and the charcoal is just muddied enough to add fabulous texture to all kind of other colors, plus the various textures of the knit is just so cool. Perfect for office work days (of which I have many) and casual weekends, of course.
I also tried and am returning the ruffled wool-blend coat (doesn't button at the bottom so it gaps at the belly, brrr), the dolman-sleeve wrap cardigan (too bulky because the yarn is so heavy it weighs it down so it collapses at the waist), the button-collared sweater coat (neck was too high, but the "cockteal" color was amazing), and a rosette cardigan in a peach color that is already gone from the site but is being returned because it drained me of all human color.
But I am VERY happy with what I did score!
One more plug: Shopping Friend got this sueded fleece moto in black, and looked adorable in it the other night. She wore it zipped up as an indoor coat. I would totally copy her except I already bought the knit moto jacket from the Gap and I love it. But you can copy her! :)
Mine is gone from Gap except in medium.
I am just about ready for fall. Almost. :)
Ooh, love your go-to sweater from Old Navy! Anything with moto detailing rates high on my list. Don't you love shopping for sweaters? After boots, it's my next-favorite item to purchase.
ReplyDeleteI also bought it in charcoal gray. I love this jacket & didn't intend to wear it indoors, I just happened to be freezing that night! Came in different colors, the others didn't work for me.

Shopping friend and I have the same jacket! I bought mine over Labor Day weekend when it was marked down to $20! I LOVE it - it's comfy like a hoodie, but looks better :)
