George and I wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I did all of my celebrating this weekend so there was no need for green beer or corned beef. But I had to wear one of my new dresses, and *cough* coincidentally it's green. :) I am always afraid of yellow-greens like some of the ones in this pattern, but I think because there is such a mix of shades it ends up suiting my coloring nicely.

We're in the midst of our first few warm days, but I am still cautious about the weather so I kept the boots and tights for another day. I can already think of a lot of warm-weather options for this dress, though! And the pattern, GAH. I am crazy about the pattern!

Dress: Apt 9 brand, Kohls
Cardigan: black grandpa style, BR Outlet
Boots: Vince Camuto
It's funny, with my birthday being so close to St. Patrick's Day, I have always had a great affinity for the holiday. My mom used to tell me that I was her St. Patty's baby because I was due on the 17th, and for years she would send me two birthday cards, one on each day. When I saw this dress, it reminded me of St. Pat's and the happiness I can't help but feel on it, and I think by wearing it all spring and summer and probably even into fall will let me feel that nostalgic affection all year long.
LOVE the green dress. One of your cutest things ever!
ReplyDeleteYou wear it well my Friend!
Beautiful print on your dress!
ReplyDeletePretty pattern! I do thik the green suits you -- it can be a difficult color to wear but you pull it off. I didn't even remember to day was St. Patrick's until about 3pm! D'oh!

ReplyDeleteYou look great in that green mix, Kristen! And Happy St. Patty's day to you (and George!).
ReplyDeleteLove the dress -- Kohl's, really?? Wow! That is a great graphic print. I wore green too, although my family is orange Irish (protestant) and not green :)
ReplyDeleteThat's as great print--and I think you can definitely wear those colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and how you styled it! Your embracing of prints is helping me to think outside of my solid-color box...you really look great in that outfit!
ReplyDeleteOooh, YAY! I totally went to Kohl's last night after you posted about finding cute dresses there, and I almost got this. But I didn't, and now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. Maybe I'll go back on payday. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE that dress! How pretty! great color on you! I bet it would look really cute with purple accessories and a purple sweater! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress.I think you wear the greens very well.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteEmily, yes, go back and pick a few up! I looked at this one in purple and green but the green just spoke to me.
Andie, thanks for the idea of the purple sweater; I will try that next time.
Shelley, I started trying prints a couple years ago, and I fell hard. Now when I wear only solids I feel a little boring...I think that's why I went print-dress crazy now!
Splendid dress!
ReplyDeleteI join the admirers who got here before me in liking this dress! You definitely have developed an eye for knowing/finding great dresses for your figure.
