Monday: Dress Remix Week Begins!

I've been so focused on integrating all the great pants and blazers I inherited from Shopping Friend that I have been neglecting my dresses. This is a tragedy of epic proportions; I love my dresses! To remedy this error, I am declaring this week to be Dress Remix Week. I will take a frequently-worn dress and put it together in a new combination every day, and at the end of the week I will host a poll so everyone can vote on the best remix. (Ooooh, I just made that part up. Hope I can be creative enough with this!)

ETA: Let me clarify: each day I will be remixing a different dress. I can't wear the same dress for 5 days; I have a reputation as the office fashionista to uphold! :)

Monday's entry:


My beloved Connexions dress from Marshalls. I stuck with the brown-purple-gold combo I tend to wear with this, but I flipped the colors so the turtleneck was purple and the sweater -- a short-sleeved Loft cardi I haven't worn since the summer -- was on top. I went all brown on the bottom too: brown plaid Vera Wang tights from Kohls, and brown suede chunky heeled oxfords from BCBG Girls.

Now I need to find a dress to wear with my plum patent waterproof La Canadienne boots; we've got snow on the ground, and more to come all day today. A dress is fine, but good boots are required.
