Meanwhile I unloaded the photos on my new iPhone that I've been taking for the last few weeks. Enjoy!

The band (complete with accordian and mullet hair) at a German restaurant we went to for Oktoberfest.
Tabletop shot. (And Phillip in the background!)
The placemat. Doesn't the guy look like Josh Grobin? It made me laugh.
Hubby bought a "squirrel-proof" bird feeder. Note the chipmunk happily sneaking into the cage and eating all the birdseed. Hee!
Just a typical Saturday at the DMV, 30 minutes before they were supposed to close. Thank God I only needed a plate sticker; my line had 3 people in it, compared to the 300+ waiting for their licenses.
Inspiration for an outfit, from Nordstrom. Love the two blues with the striped jacket!
More inspiration.
Hubby texted me this one; Emily and George figured out how to share the sunbeams and the chair one lazy afternoon.
Pumpkin display outside a grocery store. This was taken today!
My girlfriend agreed to let me find a ballerina costume for Babyfriend; all she wants to be this year is a "bah-ee-na"! The task proved nearly impossible, unless we wanted to dress a two-year-old as a slutty ballerina. Finally I found this. Not what I was hoping for (I wanted a traditional leotard, tutu and tights) but so cute I had to get it.
That's been my weekend. How was yours?
ROFLOL on the chipmunk in the feeder. Priceless!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you checked out the purse - I'm sure you'll find the perfect match soon.
Looking forward to seeing your new outfits! I took a page from your book and purged my closet this afternoon...I can breathe in it now! :)
YAY for purging! Doesn't it feel great?
DeleteThat chipmunk was fearless; even after I rapped on the glass window, he just sat there, waiting for me to ignore him again.
You (and the fact that I'm going to be in a boot as of today) inspired me to purge my closet again, rather than just change the clothes over. 1 bag to the garbage, 2 bags of clothes and a bag of purses to Goodwill. I'll do my shoes in the spring as that's when I usually do them.
ReplyDeleteThe chipmunk in the bird feeder made me laugh out loud! Does your hubby know about this?
Also, I think the woman on the placemat looks like Reese Witherspoon!
Funny, I do my shoes in the fall because I can get rid of the summer shoes I know I didn't wear or wore until they fell apart, and I can review which ones for fall I am missing. In the spring I am too busy buying sandals, LOL.
DeleteI texted Hubby the picture the second I took it. He groaned in defeat.
Hee, good catch on the Reese Witherspoon lookalike! All we need is a plot, and we've got a rom-com on our hands. :)
Cute photos and stories. I want to be a bah-ee-na too!
ReplyDeleteI knew before I even opened this post up - you went to the Brauaus!!! You keep ending up in my neighborhood! But isn't that place awesome? They're actually only my second favorite German bar in the neighborhood, but it's hard to beat a place with a live polka band every night.
ReplyDeleteBrauhaus even...
DeleteYour German Restaurant outing looks like so much fun! I miss going out with the husband and having an actual conversations other than when the baby ate last or whether we need more Target diapers. I LOVE being a mommy, but I do miss the fun days of being spontaneous and eating out without someone trying to dump my food all over me, LOL!
