Wednesday: Twirly

DSC_4967

I guess the next time I feel all twirly I should make sure my slip isn't showing. Hee.

I loved this outfit. I was warm but it was nicely fitted and, I don't know if I've said this yet, but my skirt was all twirly. I love this skirt.

The sweater is new from BR, a "gift" from "my husband" (read: I bought it for myself, wrapped it and signed his name to it). I don't own a lot of green, but I love a good dark pine. I couldn't resist this.

I paired it today with my ponte Vocabulary skirt from F&T, just one pair of tights (gasp), grey Franco Sarto oxford booties, thick black woven belt, and my mustard paisley silk scarf from Target. I wish I had knotted the scarf; it kept loosening all day, but knotted was too tight. I need to find another way to fold the next scarf I wear with this.

Completed Week 2 Day 2 of C25K this morning. It feels so good to be in an exercise routine again! I think this might be pretty sustainable; I make sure I leave around 6, a little after my husband leaves for work, and I am ready for a shower by 7. It's kind of smugly satisfying getting to the gym before it's even light out, I have to admit.

(Yeah, we get up early. Usually between 4 and 5. I know it's crazy early, but I'm so used to it now I feel like I have wasted the whole day if I get up at 7. And I used to be the girl in college who slept until 11 almost every day...)

  3. I love all shades of green! I'm really liking your sweater and twirly skirt, fun!

I get up at 5 or 5:30 am for purely selfish reasons. It's the only time of the day I don't have children,a husband or dogs shadowing me!

  4. I get up @ 5 to be done by 6 too so I can totally relate! I've always been that way but it does get harder as I get older. If I don't though, I wouldn't get it done any other time.

Love the green sweater and the whole outfit you created!

  5. Love the outfit! Missed the cat! Your style has been inspiring me in recent shopping trips. I've bought a couple of items I wouldn't have tried before. Keep up your good work.

  6. What a beautiful shade of green - so flattering on you. The belt with that sweater highlights your teeny waist.

I usually get up at 5 on work days. It's so nice getting all sorts of stuff done even before you get to work.

  7. I see I am not the only early bird! Isn't it nice to have all that time to yourself and to start the day slowly? I can't imagine leaping out of bed and rushing around...

Hee, Susan, George hasn't been interested in my photo shoots the last few days; it's too cold in the office, methinks! He'll be back eventually...
But wow, that's a nice compliment. Thank you! Hope to see what new items you are trying.

  9. Awesome outfit - I love that scarf. Wow, I admire your getting up so early! I couldn't do that myself - I am so NOT a morning person. I get up at 6, and that's a huge struggle.
