(Not my lunch.)
Does anyone else have a Mr. Bento? I love mine; it's a fun and functional way to bring my lunch to work, and it encourages me to fill it with healthy foods instead of the junk I throw into a paper sack (hangover from my schoolkid days). I just pulled it out again and have decided to use it this week as much as I can (not tomorrow because I will be traveling to another facility).
There are Flickr pools of super-creative lunches, and I am sure if I dug around I could find groups of blogs and sites for it (bento lunches inspires as much passion as daily outfit blogging does). Mine is simpler and not even worth of pictures. Yet. )
Today I have:
-blackberry nonfat yogurt with cut-up fresh fruit
-homemade lentil soup
-navel orange sections
-two cubes of Wisconsin-made cheddar-horseradish cheese (from my cheese share of the CSA)
-whole-wheat Ritz crackers (for the soup and the cheese)
In fairness, this food will tide me over all day, not just for lunch. I'm looking forward to it!
Ok you've got me wanting one of these. I never heard of it before, and it seems so organized.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely asking for a Bento box for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSher, it's a wonderful gadget...except when you get home and have to wash all four containers. :) But it kept me full all day long!
ReplyDeleteKate, duly noted!
That wasn't a hint! But, actually, a really good idea. Picture M shopping for a bento box. NOT! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, I have one, and whenever I bring it out it draws admiring glances and comments.
