Tuesday: Aunt Jemima

First off, go wish my dad a Happy Birthday, and try not to laugh too hard at our garish 1970s clothes. :)

Okay, now that you are back, I have a confession to make: I am seriously crazy about my long leggings.



So fun, so comfortable, so perfect for cool spring days in a semi-air-conditioned windowless office. You guys should expect to start seeing them a lot more often.



The dress is another knit tee-shirt-type, a cute purple tie-back I got at Marshalls last summer. It's pretty casual which makes it unsuitable for a regular work dress, but it has been reborn as a tunic-over-leggings! The layering tee is one I picked up on super-sale at Ann Taylor a couple of weeks ago, the flyaway cardigan is my favorite Target one, the zippered leggings are from Kohls, and the belt is one of my finds from the Connecticut consignment store. $6, and sooooo cooooool.



Lastly, the flats are new from Target. Teal studded peeptoe, can you dig it? Surprisingly comfortable too, although I wouldn't call them walking-around-town shoes. I love the little twisted bow, but I think the same thing every time I look at them, and I am guessing you will too.

Monday: What, me thrifty?

Monday was back to reality; work was a-callin', and George was a-hammin' it up! I had meetings all day so I went with a dress and a jacket, my "suit" if you will. This was the Max Studio green patterned dress with my ruffled Gap tee shirt under it, the famous gold J Crew Outlet locket, black sheer Spanx and my bronze jeweled DSW flats.

The star of the outfit was the jacket. I never seem to have good luck thrifting except when I go to this one consignment store in Connecticut with my sister. Last year I found a never-used cream $150 Tignanello purse for $17, and this year I found an awesome belt, Sunday's bracelet, a red stoned brooch, and this jacket. It's a Talbots collection cropped jacket with incredible detail. I boosted the exposure in this shot so you can see most of it.



There is the great cross-stitching down the seams, and discreet beading on the neck and the cuffs. The fit and cut is great too, plus it is canvas and lined. $24 and worth every penny!

Lastly, George is the laziest. He barely got all the way in the door before he decided to collapse and roll around. I swear he knows exactly when the camera is going to go off so he can be in the funniest position. LOL!
